  1. He was very happy there because he had friends and a beautiful house. Unfortunately, the borders of India and Pakistan were divided in 1947. Therefore, Chetandas’s family decided to move to India.
  2. After they got land in Sohna village, Chetandas’s father dug the soil, and he and his sister filled the pans and passed them to their mother. His sister and mother mixed the husk and his father put up the walls. After that, his mother prepared a mixture of cow dung and mud. She coated the mixture on the floor because it kept insects away from the house. For the roof, his father made a frame by joining the strips of wood and fixed it on the walls.
  3. If I would find myself in this situation, I would be rather unhappy to leave my friends, old school, teachers, and neighbors; I suppose that Chetandas also had experienced the same. On the bright side, moving to a new place is full of challenges, but it is also exciting to meet new people.
  4. Building a house is an intimidating task that requires a lot of patience and work. The things that we can keep in our mind concerning the safety of the house are: –
    a. Build strong walls by using bricks and cement.
    b. Using water ceiling leakage products.
    c. Build a proper water system.
    d. Build a better water drainage system, especially in toilets.
  5. In ancient days, people use a mixture of cow dung and mud that helps to keep away insects. Remember, Chetandas’s mother coated the floor with this mixture.
  6. Chetandas’s father made a frame by joining the strips of wood and fixed it on the four walls. Then, they put branches of Neem and Keekar trees on the frame, so the termites would not harm the wood. His mother prepared the old gunny bags and covered them with mud and put them on the frame.
  7. After this approach of the Indian government, people have separate toilets in their houses and they are very well aware of cleaning them. The cases of people going to the fields are tremendously decreasing.
  8. Chetandas built a small kitchen having a mud chulha and a place to keep the vessels. After his children became old, new inventions were introduced which they accepted to construct their kitchen. The mud chulha was replaced by the gas stove and the walls were much stronger than in the previous kitchen.
